Jantar 2

Fans of the first Błonie watches certainly know Jantar very well. This popular model was synony- mous with post-war elegance and garnered attention with its simple but original dial with lines crossing at right angles. When designing its contemporary version, we decided to recreate this element, thanks to which the inspirations of the proto- type are immediately visible in the „new” Jantar.

The already mentioned character- istic straight lines intersect through the central point of the dial, and another important element is the index at 12:00, which is the show-case of this watch. It is specifically elongated, which is a direct refer- ence to the model from the turn of the 1950s and 1960s. What is new is the use of a mechanism with a date display and the placement of its round window at 3:00. Jantar is also unique in one more aspect – it is our first limited model, in which the inscriptions on the dial and the case back are in Polish. Under the index at 12:00, there is a refreshed Błonie logo by the Polish calligra- pher Adam Romuald Kłodecki, and the whole thing is complemented by a strap made of high-quality leather or a comfortable bracelet.

Jantar is a fully original Polish project. The precision of the watch is ensured by a reliable 24-stone Seiko NH35 move- ment with a 41-hour power reserve. The operation of this can be observed through the glass case back, where we can see a rotor in the color of the national flag and the letter „B” cut out, which is a characteris- tic element of the contempo- rary Błonie brand. The watch is also equipped with a universal 9-row bracelet finished alter- nating polished and brushed links, or a high-quality calf leather strap.
