Punctuality as an imperative of our times
The very first Błonie model, created at the end of the 1950s, was a classic watch with a simple dial, bar indices and a basic 16-jewel mechanism. The Błonie Super was designed as a more versatile replacement that was supposed to successfully compete with watches of a similar class produced in the West. It was characterized by a modern mechanism which featured an additional cover stone, the so-called Antichoc system, which was considered a timekeeping revolution in those days. It also feature a more refined dial with hand-applied Arabic numeral indices.
The Super 5 is the more complex model from the contemporary Klasyczne series. It features a dual-function calendar and a sweep second quartz movement, which has been equipped with a special drive that moves the second hand at ¼ second intervals.
The Błonie Super 5 is a modern watch with our signature case shape and a convex glass. The dial features legible numeral and bar indices as well as a calendar in the form of two subdials – one for the day of the week in Polish, the other for the day of the month. The third lower sub-dial shows the time in the form of 24 hours. The new Błonie logo, created by Polish calligrapher Adam Romuald Kłodecki, is mounted below the 12:00 indices and the watch features a characteristic red-tipped second hand.
